Skills and Achievements
I am an accomplished musician and have achieved an Associate
Diploma of the London College of Music in flute performance, grade
8 flute, grade 6 music theory, grade 6 saxophone. Performance is a
pivotal part of my musical life and I have competed and won many
awards in many music festivals. From 2015-2017, I played first flute
in Sheffield University Wind Orchestra, where in June 2017, I was
principle flautist for the annual tour to Tours in France. From this I
feel I learnt to handle being in high pressure situations well. I played
in a Flute Ensemble called Flute Salad for about 10 years before
going to university, playing in many local concerts and festivals.
During July 2012, I took part in an expedition with Project Wallacea
to Madagascar, where I undertook group project work in a
challenging environment.
Hobbies and Interests I love nature and wildlife and recently I have
been enjoying hiking through and exploring the Vietnamese
countryside. Health and fitness are of great importance to me. I really
enjoy running, spinning and training in a gym to improve my fitness.
Whilst at university I played netball competitively for the music
society’s netball team. As well as being a keen musician, I love
listening to music both live and at home
